The experience launched through “Palermo Città Aumentata” is landing in the suburbs of Milan.

Thanks to the Municipality of Milan and its call “Bando alle periferie” that recently funded 14 cultural projects in the areas of Giambellino-Lorenteggio, Adriano-Padova-Rizzoli, Corvetto-Chiaravalle-Porto di Mare, Niguarda-Bovisa e Qt8-Gallaratese, the “Augmented Street Art” arrived in Milan.

Designed by a consortium including the social cooperative Bepart (leader), PUSH, the cultural and creativity center BASE Milano, the publishing house Terre di mezzo Editore, the school of photography Cfp Bauer and the Foundation Arrigo e Pia Pini, the project “Milano Città Aumentata”includes very different activities: photography workshops, mapping of the urban art heritage in the 5 areas, animation design labs for the realization of augmented reality works, a paper catalog, a digital map with the opportunity to register for guided tours in the first widespread museum of augmented street art, an exhibition and much more.

During the first weeks of October we realized the street art photography and mapping workshops envolving many boys and girls from different local organisations. More than 200 works were documented and 50 were adopted by the participants of the animation design and augmented reality workshop. Video, 3d models, sounds and animations were used to make 50 new digital pieces of art . Everyone will enjoy them very soon using the augmented reality just in front of the original murals made by some the most important Italian artists, such as Pao, Sonda, Nais, SeaCreative, Volks Writers, Ema Jons, Luz, Orticanoodles, Zed1 and many others.
Now we’re working on the design and production of the catalogue and the organization of the final exhibition. Street Art Factory will soon host, in its augmented reality section, a new page dedicated to the project in Milan, providing information about the programme of the events and a digital map useful to find the works and to book a guided tour.

Stay tuned!

Let’s start with the first poster art workshop https://www.streetartfactory.eu/en/2017/09/25/lets-start-with-the-first-poster-art-workshop/ https://www.streetartfactory.eu/en/2017/09/25/lets-start-with-the-first-poster-art-workshop/#respond Mon, 25 Sep 2017 11:03:52 +0000 https://www.streetartfactory.eu/2017/09/25/lets-start-with-the-first-poster-art-workshop/ Fall is beginning with positive vibes. We start with the first activity promoted by Street Art Factory.

Thanks to the campaign launched some months ago on our platform, selling three limited edition of silk screen posters by the artist Poki, in collaboration with the Outpatient Clinic and the Volunteers Group of Emergency Palermo, on the 27th-28th-29th of September, we’re gonna make the first poster art workshop for kids.

An opportunity to mix street art and social innovation, the workshop will trigger outpatient clinic’s children fantasy to imagine a more beautiful and inclusive city.

The workshop will lead the kids to the art language, by taking hints from the context and from the art materials, to make their own artworks. Afterwards the young artists, led by Poki, will stick up their posters inside the Emergency structure and in the hood.

We thank all the people who have supported this project by buying the artworks on the platform.

STREET ART PA – New Bot for Telegram https://www.streetartfactory.eu/en/2017/06/05/street-art-pa-new-bot-for-telegram/ https://www.streetartfactory.eu/en/2017/06/05/street-art-pa-new-bot-for-telegram/#respond Mon, 05 Jun 2017 09:10:03 +0000 http://www.streetartfactory.eu/2017/06/05/street-art-pa-arriva-il-bot-di-telegram/

A new interesting collaboration for Street Art Factory.
During the last months the young sicilian developer Gabriele Dell’Aria created a new free service for all street art lovers: it’s a bot for telegram which provides information about Street Art in Palermo easily and interactively.
Searching for @StreetArtPaBot among telegram users and starting the bot a menù comes out and is possible to filter all the contents by artworks’ names, artists’ nicknames or projects’ labels. Each artwork comes with a photo, a little description, a bio of the author (with all the related sources) and a map which locates the point. You can search for the artworks by areas (there are more than 15) or just use the section “trova opere”, sending your position and getting a list of the nearest pieces around you. A “news” section contains the latest upgrades from Street Art Factory and Street Art Palermo (instagram and facebook).
Moreover StreetArtPaBot decided to directly support Street Art Factory uploading among the info also those related to the project promoted by the platform. You will find then also SuperFotoColla, the new photography workshop designed by Roberto Boccaccino from Minimum studio, for the kids of the Centro Santa Chiara in Ballarò, financed online by selling the prints of the artist The Saint.
StreetArtPaBot is very useful and easy to use, so please just try it and give us a feedback. Gabriele really wants to know what you think about it!

Urban Creativity talk

The discussion aims to show some recent examples and projects made in the city of Palermo and in general in Sicily, linked to urban art and creativity. The following projects will be presented:

STREET ART IN PALERMO
web, maps and augmented reality tours

Thanks to the Street Art Factory project, the city of Palermo has for the first time a paper as well as a digital thematic map dedicated to street art and people have now the opportunity to directly support artistic-educational activities related to urban spaces. During a workshop called “Call for (AR)tist”, held by PUSH, Bepart and Mjestimice Svjetlo in December 2016 at the Gallery of Modern Art of Palermo, 30 young designers, artists and students created some interesting augmented reality animation which now are part of the first “augmented” tour of Palermo. During the meeting the street art maps will be distributed and an interactive photographic exhibition, which was set up in Athens last December, will be inaugurated.

STREET ART IN SICILIA – GUIDA AI LUOGHI E ALLE OPERE
Book presentation by the authors: M. Filippi, M. Mondino, L. Tuttolomondo

During the meeting will be presented the most recent Sicilian publication about the theme of urban creativity: a complete overview of the urban art of the Island. From muralism festivals to abandoned factories, from posters to stencils, from large coastal cities to small inland towns, Street Art in Sicilia presents many urban art experiences made in different contexts. An updated archive/guide of works that tells and shows through photos, maps and thematic and monographic insights, the urban creativity made in Sicily.

Palermo Street Art flies to Athens! https://www.streetartfactory.eu/en/2017/02/01/la-street-art-di-palermo-vola-ad-atene/ https://www.streetartfactory.eu/en/2017/02/01/la-street-art-di-palermo-vola-ad-atene/#respond Wed, 01 Feb 2017 11:39:46 +0000 http://www.streetartfactory.eu/2017/02/01/la-street-art-di-palermo-vola-ad-atene/

From 24th to 28th January Athens hosted the final meeting of the program Tandem Europe dedicated to the cultural management cooperation in Europe. On Friday, 27th, in the hall of the Bageion Hotel in the central Omonia Square, PUSH, Bepart and Mjestimice svjetlo, partners and promoters of the project “Light Path”, set up a photographic exhibition in augmented reality, to show some of the outcomes of the workshop “Call For (AR)tist”, developed during the last December at the Modern Art Gallery of Palermo with the support of the Polytechnic University of Palermo.

A selection of pictures of 10 street art works in Palermo “adopted” by designers and artists who attended the workshop, gave the visitors the chance to find out – through a dedicated app – the multimedia contents associated to every single work.

During the exhibition we also distributed some paper maps with the highlightings of the digital contents that build the first augmented reality tour exclusively dedicated to street art.

Very soon we’ll have more information about the launch of the tour in Palermo.

But that’s not all: we also raised 500 euros for Programma Italia by Emergency.

We are already working on new activities, such as publishing online the artworks of new artists. This way we would like to fund new artistic and social projects to be developed locally
